Your artistry can help students, parents, and communities write songs about confidence, healing, and identity.
We’re building a roster of powerful, culture-rooted artists to co-create transformational experiences with youth and families — one song, one session, one story at a time.
As an independent contractor, you’ll get paid to lead creative workshops, perform at community events, and help youth express themselves through music and mindfulness.
You bring your gifts. We bring the space. Together, we make impact.
Independent musicians, vocalists, producers, and poets
Artists with lived experience and cultural connection
Creatives who care deeply about youth, identity, and healing
People who use music as a tool for community and expression
Every opportunity is different. As a contracted artist, you'll be booked to:
Lead Songwriting or Beatmaking Sessions
Work side-by-side with youth (Grades K-12) to co-create original music rooted in their voice and experience.
Perform or Host Community Events
Bring the vibe to family nights, community showcases, or open mic-style school gatherings.
Support School Programs & Camps
Use your musical talent to enhance residencies, class workshops, and full-day creative intensives.
Produce Student-Written Tracks
Help youth turn their lyrics into polished, recorded songs — with your guidance in a studio-style setup.
💡 All bookings are freelance and project-based. We reach out when the fit feels right.
We work in school settings, which means student safety and district requirements matter. Artists with these clearances will be highly recommended for paid opportunities.
Most school-based bookings require the following:
Live Scan Background Check (DOJ + FBI)
Required by California law to work with youth in schools.
Mandated Reporter Training
A free, online course required for anyone working with minors.
TB Clearance
A basic health screening often requested by school districts.
W-9 Form
We hire all artists as independent contractors. You'll receive a 1099 tax from in February of each year.
CPR/First Aid Certification (Optional)
Not required, but a great bonus — especially for family or camp events.
Don’t have all of these yet? That’s okay.
We work with our artists to help you get what’s needed, and we’ll guide you through the process once you’re selected for a booking.
These requirements aren’t barriers, they’re a bridge to doing your best work with youth safely and confidently.
